Welcome to Denton Elementary!

It is an honor to serve as your principal and to be part of a school and community that have always been so special to me.

As a lifelong resident of Denton, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, families, and staff of my hometown. I bring more than a decade of experience as a school administrator, having previously served as principal of Reeds Elementary, Silver Valley Elementary, and South Davidson Middle School. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to creating schools where students are supported, teachers are valued, families are welcomed, and everyone feels a sense of belonging.

I earned my Doctorate of Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, my Master’s in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University, and my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Liberty University. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time on my family farm, gardening, cooking, and, of course, a good cup of coffee!

I believe that strong schools are built through strong relationships. I look forward to partnering with our families and community as we work together to provide every student with a safe, supportive, and engaging place to learn and grow. At Denton Elementary, we want every student, staff member, and family to know one important thing: You Belong Here!
