I am honored to lead Denton Elementary as Principal and excited to have the opportunity to continue to work in this community! My hope is we can have continued success on doing what is best for students while creating a wonderful learning environment in which they thrive.
My path in education started in 2011 when I started as a classroom teacher and high school basketball coach in Minnesota. My family relocated to North Carolina in 2016 and I've called Davidson County home ever since. I have taught at Wallburg Elementary, worked as an administrative intern at Central Davidson High School, and served as an assistant principal at Southwood Elementary, Silver Valley Elementary, and of course, Denton Elementary!
I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead and Masters of School Administration from the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG).
I look forward to collaborating with and serving the Denton community again this upcoming school year. I have a strong passion for student learning and watching children grow academically and socially.
