About Mr. Berg
Hey y'all!
I was born and raised here in Denton, and I was taught by several of the teachers I work with today. I graduated from South Davidson High School in 2015 and went on to Appalachian State University. There, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in electronic media and broadcasting. But, working with children through the summers led me to pursue a lateral entry certification in elementary education. Knowing my heart was with my local community, I volunteered back home at Denton Elementary School while applying for a teaching position.
I officially joined Denton Elementary School in the 2019-2020 academic year as a 4th grade teacher. For the past five years, I've taught primarily social studies and science, with a year in ELA as well. Now entering my sixth year, I'm so excited to be in the fifth grade teaching ELA with an integration of social studies curriculum!
