All About Me
Hello, My name is Melinda Daubin and I am beginning my second year instructing Art at Denton Elementary. I grew up in Virginia and then attended the University of Georgia where I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Art with a special concentration in Textile Design. My art journey started as a child. I have always loved creating and am so fortunate to have been able to pursue Art in college. I worked in the textile industry, prior to starting my family. My husband and I have been blessed with four sons. They are now all young adults and pursuing their special interests through their careers and free time. As a mother, I loved introducing my children to various mediums of Art and allowing them to grow creatively, as they sharpened their problem solving skills. This actually morphed into my teaching summer camps and specialized Art instruction, along with tutoring. Recently, I studied Landscape Architecture for 2 years, as I love the beauty and variety found in nature. I volunteer through my church with an outreach tutoring program for at-risk children. Beyond tutoring these students, I also present special Art focused events. I am so thankful to be able to combine my love for children with my passion for Art.
Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting your child and providing them a safe place to create.
