Professional Background
My name is Mrs. Amanda Snider, a fourth grade teacher at Denton Elementary. This is my 13th year teaching. I spent a year teaching second grade, 7 years teaching third, and this is my 5th year teaching third. I am proud to serve in the county in which I was born and raised, and to help contribute to the success of the next generation of Davidson County Schools' students while here at Denton. I am honored to help scaffold your children as they grow into productive and successful citizens as we hold our students to the high expectations they will need to excel in life.
I am a graduate from Salem College in Old Salem (Winston-Salem, NC), with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. I also have obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from Salem College immediately following my undergraduate program. I am AIG Certified and am also currently pursuing a National Board Certification. I am also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honors Society in Education, Salem College Chapter, which I earned while pursuing my Master’s Degree. I hold NC Teaching Licenses in K-6 General Education and 9-12 History Secondary Education. I have also participated in multiple committees within Davidson County Schools where I volunteered my time and contributed my voice on behalf of your children to help make their education in this county the best it can be. It is and has been my privilege to serve them.
