Welcome to our EC PreK Classroom

I want to welcome you to our classroom! I am so excited to be the EC PreK teacher this year and I am looking forward to getting to know the children and families I serve. In this classroom we work on the whole child's development through play, embedding multimodal learning opportunities to help children grow using an interdisciplinary approach. I provide a language-rich environment through book readings, individual and group discussions, writing activities, and environmental print throughout the classroom. I utilize my training in nonviolent communication and conscious discipline, combined with our Harmony Curriculum, to focus on the children's social and emotional development to prepare them for learning. It is my ultimate goal from the very beginning to build a strong foundation for a love of learning, moving toward graduation that will lead to your child's ultimate success in life.
