All About Mrs. Younts Flyer

I am a 2016 graduate of East Davidson High School. I continued my education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro earning a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology. I have begun my teaching career here at Denton and I have loved every moment! This will be my second year teaching 5th grade reading, which is my specialty. I believe communication is key, so I need your help to make this school year above and beyond. I wanted to tell you a little bit more about myself.

I am originally from Thomasville, NC, but I currently live in Lexington, NC with my husband Jacob and our sweet pup, Grace. I have always dreamed of becoming an Elementary school teacher, so I can work with students like you every day! I love working with all kids and I want to inspire them to be the very best they can be as practice makes permanent! We all can do anything when we set our minds and hearts to doing it.

When I’m not at Denton, I am either camping or going to the beach on the weekends, riding the boat out on the lake, watching television with my family, or dancing. For five years I was a dance instructor and taught kids of all ages. I am super excited for this new school year to begin, and I can’t wait to get to know you all! Now, here’s to the start of a great 2023-2024 school year. A year we will all remember forever!
