Professional Background

I recently just graduated at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Major in Elementary Education K-6, and a Minor in Psychology. I am really looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know you this year as it is my first official year as a beginning teacher. Yay! I believe communication is key, so I need your help to make this year above and beyond. I wanted to tell you a little bit more about myself.

I am originally from Thomasville, NC, but I currently live in Lexington, NC with my husband Jacob and our sweet pup, Grace. I have always dreamed of becoming an Elementary school teacher, so I can work with students like you every day! I love working with all kids and I want to inspire them to be the very best they can be as “Practice makes permanent”!

When I’m not at Denton, I am either camping or going to the beach on the weekends, riding the boat out on the lake, watching television with my family, or dancing. For five years I was a dance instructor and taught kids of all ages. I am super excited for this new school year to begin, and I can’t wait to get to know you all! Now, here’s to the start of a great 2022-2023 school year. A year we will all remember forever!
